I am running Vista 64-bit Home Premium with 6gb GCZ DDR3 triple-channel RAM. I just upgraded to a Threaderipper 3960x, using Gigabytes TRX40 Aorus Master (silly "gaming" product names to the max!) and I am having no luck with this chip under Linux at all. The sound card comes bundled with a DBPro daughter board and Audio Control Module (ACM). 1000+ Realtek, 1150/1220, is comparable to sound cards in tests. It also features an unprecedented 120dB signal-to-noise ratio for the stereo line-out and a 113dB SNR for the line-in, providing pristine audio quality. 1 Pro sound card, I assumed it would improve the sound and possibly the volume of my music/movies on my Creative Gigaworks T40 II speakers, but it doesn't seem to be working effectively.
